Description Epsilyte in Peru, IL is seeking a Production Operator to become part of our Operations team. Position Duties/Responsibilities: Monitor and control five chemical batch reactors through computerized system Measure chemicals and add to process Perform housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines and procedures Operate reactors and equipment to expected performance levels Work in a team environment where your contributions are encouraged, recognized, and valued Any other duties as deemed necessary Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Associate degree or Certificate in related technical field is preferred This role is scheduled for rotating 12-hour shifts. Must be able and available to work days, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays Related work experience in chemical plant, industrial/manufacturing, or military is preferred The ideal applicant will be proficient in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to follow detailed instructions and record precise chemical process information. Demonstrated computer proficiency is required Other Considerations: Current starting rate is $28.34-$31.92/hour with annual contractual increases Physical requirements – Must be able to walk/stand/bend/stoop, raise and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders. Wearing personal protective equipment (FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, heeled boots and hearing protection) including the use of a respirator is required.
