We are currently seeking skilled Production Operators for our Fresh Backshift team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the efficient processing of our fresh potato products. Your efforts will directly impact the quality and freshness of the products that reach our customers. Working hours are from 5 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, Sunday 9 AM-5 PM and every third Saturday, with a competitive pay rate starting at £12.21 per hour, plus an additional £0.50 backshift allowance. Responsibilities Operate and oversee production machinery to ensure the efficient processing of fresh potato products. Adhere to all safety and quality standards throughout the production process. Inspect finished products to guarantee quality and freshness before packaging. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment to maintain operational efficiency. Document production metrics accurately and report any issues to the shift supervisor. Work collaboratively with team members to facilitate a smooth and efficient production process. Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge related to food production. Previous experience in a production or manufacturing role is preferred, particularly within the food industry. Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and adherence to safety standards. Effective communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Basic mechanical skills useful for performing maintenance tasks on production equipment. Flexibility to work backshifts and to adapt to changing production requirements. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while following health and safety protocols.
