Kanegrade is a manufacturer and supplier of ingredients to food and beverage companies based in Stevenage.

ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and helpful team player with good attention to detail.
You need to be physically fit, trustworthy and willing to work with liquids/powders/chemicals.
We have to meet the highest possible food safety standards, so taking pride in your hygiene, work and surroundings are essential.
Note: Whilst not in them all the time, the production areas can be harsh environments with noise, smells and lots to do, so we are only looking for tough individuals who are up for handling fairly challenging conditions.

SKILLS YOU HAVE:

• Experience of working as a Production Operator
• Practical, solution-focused, hands on
• Able to use production / warehouse management systems
• Counterbalance forklift license an advantage - or willingness to learn

• Production jobs: liquid/powder blending, spray-drying, re-packing (full training given, all food ingredients)
• Working with chemicals which make flavours, sometimes hazardous, sometimes with very strong smells (COSHH training will be provided)
• Cleaning / jet-washing - keeping equipment and facilities to a high level of hygiene
• Note: you must be willing to work while wearing PPE in production areas
• Ad-hoc production/warehouse tasks as required.
• Picking and packing orders for despatch with some manual lifting (up to 25KG)
• Movement of stock, loading/unloading with forklift truck once you hold licence
• Check and organise paperwork for incoming and outgoing deliveries
