JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards. This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
The Operator is in charge of process operations and warehousing, including responsibility for CCPs, GMPs, Food Safety, HSE, proper equipment operation, adhering to all Safety protocols, sanitation, communication, and other jobs assigned, as well as collaboration with the entire Lallemand organization and Cornwall Lallemand team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Production Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and techniques is essential.
  • · High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
    · Have a minimum of 2 years of production experience in food manufacturing
    · Knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety and HACCP
    · High level written and verbal communication skills
    · Physically fit and decisive
    · Problem solving skills
    · Some mechanical knowledge and familiarity with process equipment Ability to work in a team environment.
    · Strong organizational and time management skills.
    · Strong decision making abilities
    · Understanding the principles of a spray-dryer
    · Understanding the principles of liquid processing
    · Good math and computer skills
    · Must be able to follow detailed instructions
    · Ability to achieve high sanitation standards
    · Knowledge of basic physio-chemical analysis
    · Proficient with multi-tasking and attention to detail
    · Maintain first aid certification
    · Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting, with the use of root cause analysis
    · Ability to work rotating 12 hours shifts
    · Ability to operate lift truck

Responsibilities

· Managing the dryer operation,
· Bagging finished product,
· Collecting product samples for the lab,
· Managing the upstream liquid operations,
· Monitoring CCPs, GMP’s, CPs, and filters for operations,
· Completing sanitation assignments, ensuring proper procedures and cleaning chemical concentrations
· Preparing and verifying packaging and labels,
· Doing quality control analysis on in-process samples,
· Inputting data into several production, quality, and sanitation logs,
· Shipping and Receiving duties,
· Working in a manner that conforms to Environmental, Health and Safety policies,
· Maintain quality and food safety for area of responsibility and according to food safety and quality policies and procedures,

· Other duties as assigned.

  • Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain product standards.
  • Program machinery as required for specific production tasks, ensuring efficiency and precision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members in the warehouse to manage inventory and materials effectively.
