Description
Job purpose The entry level operator works under general supervision & performs a wide variety of tasks to produce quality flexible magnets and highly filled polymers which meet or exceed specifications through all stages of manufacturing up to & including the packaging of the finished product.     Essential Duties and responsibilities * Following the defined manufacturing steps required to produce a quality product in a safe and efficient manner * Following instructions as written on product specifications, manuals & all other documents related to the manufacturing process * Transporting raw materials, intermediate materials and finished goods as needed * Checking & calculating raw material quantities  * Perform set-up & adjustments to all manufacturing equipment to ensure assigned machines run at peak efficiency & operations are within guidelines & manuals  * Must be willing and able to operate a powered fork truck, manual pallet jacks, and a powered scissors lift.  Training will be given on all of these devices. * Properly document & update production records, inspection data, inventory records, etc. * Check work for accuracy to ensure no errors &/or deficiencies; identify & report all discrepancies  *   * Review specifications, training manuals and operating manuals; notify supervisor of needed updates * Adhere to all safety policies; identify & report unsafe conditions to Supervisor * Perform varied preventative maintenance duties (refer to manuals) * Maintain a safe clean & organized work area (refer to manuals)  * Cross train - learn to operate various machines for increased scheduling flexibility * Communicate proactively and routinely with all colleagues to foster an open, team oriented work environment     Minimum Qualifications * HS Diploma / GED   Physical Demands and Work Environment * Must be able to lift a minimum 50 pounds for most machinery (lifting devices are available) * Slitter Rewind – can weigh up to 100+ pounds  * Sheet Laminator – can weigh up to 100+ pounds * Strip Extrusion Vertical Windups – can weigh up to 70 pounds * Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time * Must be able to bend, lift, twist, pull, etc. * May be exposed to loud noises, dirt, dust & fumes * Production floor is not temperature controlled year round   Company Benefits * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Company HSA Contribution * Company Paid HRA, STD and Life Insurance * 401k with 100% Company Match Up to 4% * PTO (including 14 Company Paid Holidays) * Optional Life, AD&D and LTD Available * Employee Assistance Program * Tuition Reimbursement * Additional Supplemental Insurance Arnold Magnetic Technologies is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status or characteristic.  Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/General Identity/Disability/Veteran   #FME       7:00AM - 7:00PM
