Responsibilities 1st Shift Openings: 1 Pay Rate: $19.60/hr **Preferred Candidate Identified*** Now hiring at our manufacturing plant in New Kensington, PA for a Production Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks: Performs all tasks related to production, inspection, testing, and general plant activities. Performs miscellaneous tasks such as cutting, filling, gluing, packing, etc. Works from both verbal and written instructions, samples, drawings, wiring diagrams, etc. Operates a variety of hand tools and miscellaneous bench machines and assembly equipment such as cut-off press, terminal crimping machines, soldering irons, and spot welders, etc. Performs necessary setups on equipment to be used. Detects faulty material, records information and reports unusual conditions to supervisor. May install components (parts) on customer (repair) units. Assists Maintenance Mechanic in all duties not requiring specialized skills or licensure, including installing, dismantling, and moving machines and other equipment. Performs certain janitorial duties. Actively participates in Continuous Improvement activities Work Standards: Finished work is in compliance with verbal and written instructions, samples, drawings, wiring diagrams, etc. Conflicts in instructions or visually defective components are identified before use. Responsible for 5S of all areas in the plant. Must keep work area in clean and orderly condition. Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications: Regular tasks 5 - 8 hours a day: Sit for long periods of time Work inside and with others Occasional tasks 2-5 hours a day: Stand - stationary and non-stationary Walk unassisted Work independently Infrequent tasks 1-2 hours a day: Bend / Stoop / Twist Reach at, below or above shoulder height Perform repetitive motion tasks with hands and fingers, arms, shoulders Demonstrate fine tuned manual dexterity tasks Turn wrenches/valves Hear Speak Use near vision for fine detail, small component/tool work See and distinguish between various colors Lift/Carry 1-50 lbs.
