POWER YOUR CAREER WITH US

Are you a 2nd Class Power Engineer looking to make your mark in a technically advanced, safety-first, and team-driven industrial environment? We’re looking for high-performing professionals to join our Utilities Operations Team (Boiler Plant, Power Generation, and Tank Farm) - people who bring expertise, leadership, and a drive for excellence to every shift.
The position will also be required to backfill as the relief Shift Engineer and assume Shift Engineer duties in the absence of their supervisor once trained, competent and qualified in the area.
This is more than just a job. It’s a chance to lead the safe and efficient operation of critical infrastructure—high-pressure boilers, gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators, site utilities, and tank farm systems—that power our Potash production facility. If you’re someone who takes pride in operating at the top of your game and thrives in high-responsibility environments, we want to hear from you.
Exciting Opportunity: New Cogen Facility
KSPC is currently in the process of constructing a new Cogen power generation plant, featuring natural gas turbines and heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs). This is a rare opportunity to be involved with a Team who will play a crucial role in starting up, testing, and optimizing a brand-new power plant. This is your chance to make a lasting impact on a high-profile energy project, while gaining invaluable experience with cutting-edge power generation technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act quickly and decisively to troubleshoot process upsets, identify root causes, and return systems to normal operating conditions.
  • Lead and support plant start-ups, shutdowns, equipment isolations, and handovers with precision and accountability.
  • Use SAP and digital tools to document operational data, initiate maintenance work orders, and keep detailed, accurate records.
  • Collaborate closely with other operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable and continuous plant performance.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections, contribute to reliability-centered maintenance planning, and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture, following lockout/tagout procedures, permitting requirements, and environmental controls.
  • Uphold and reinforce operating discipline through the consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and Lockout Protocols.
  • Perform Shift Engineering duties as required, including oversight of crew operations, coordination of safety protocols, and acting as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Shift Engineer.
