This role requires high precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with small parts using hand tools and soldering techniques. The position involves a combination of assembly (90%) and material handling (10%), ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production Assemble small optical and mechanical components using precision hand tools Follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Perform basic soldering tasks on small components (training provided if needed) Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and assembly of parts Inspection & Quality Control Inspect components and finished products for defects, imperfections, or deviations Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and specifications Document and report any quality issues or inconsistencies Material Handling (10%) Transport materials and components within the production floor Stage parts for assembly and ensure proper inventory flow Assist with packaging and movement of finished goods Safety & Compliance Follow all safety guidelines and company policies Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times Handle basic chemicals safely as required by the process Team Collaboration Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals Support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace Qualifications Required Experience in small parts assembly, manufacturing, or precision work Basic understanding of hand tools and assembly techniques Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Preferred Prior experience with optical, electronics, or medical device assembly Basic soldering skills (or willingness to learn) Experience working in a cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environment Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Strong manual dexterity for handling small components Good visual acuity for inspecting fine details and identifying defects Ability to perform repetitive motions with precision Work Environment Production/manufacturing floor environment Requires use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, etc.) Exposure to basic chemicals in controlled conditions Fast-paced environment with a strong focus on quality and efficiency Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
