Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Operator / Machine Operator role is a Full-Time position, based at Wetherill Park, NSW. Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for operating a range of fixed and mobile plant in a dynamic environment to manufacture high-quality products.
The main purpose of this role will be to assist in the production of Gyprock, Plasters & Compounds products.
Shift Pattern: 12-hour rotating shifts, working day (06:00-18:00) and night (18:00-06:00). Every 2nd weekend will be off.

In this role you will:

  • Operating machinery and ensuring materials are produced to the commercial standard, performing quality checks as required.
  • Identify and report equipment and product faults.
  • Unload and stage (put away) various products.
  • Be involved in identifying risks and hazards and contributing to initiatives that focus on improving quality.
  • Housekeeping and other duties as required.

  • The ability to multitask in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
  • High attention to detail, with good mechanical mind and trouble shooting ability
  • Computer literacy and experience with ERP / HMI - highly desired
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster.
  • Proven success in a similar role, preferably in a high volume, multiple stage continuous manufacturing / factory environment is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of production operations
