DESCRIPTION:

Quick overview of the role
We are currently seeking Production Operators to join our friendly day shift team in a full-time capacity. The Production Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery to cut and bend steel into structural shapes, specified by work order, drawings, templates or layout as relevant to the machine. This will involve setting up the machine, monitoring the production process, and making adjustments as needed to ensure that the rebar shapes are produced to the required specifications. What will you be doing?

• ​​​​Setup and operate machinery to cut and bend steel into structural shapes.
• Monitor the production process and make adjustments as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Conduct pre-start checks on all equipment and machinery before it is used.
• Report any faults to your manager/supervisor immediately.
• Quality check product as required to ensure they meet production requirements.
• Take pride in your machine and work area – ensuring it is clean and well-maintained
• Report any breakdowns, safety issues or hazards.
• Maintain the highest workplace safety standards.

• Excellent communication skills
• Forklift license highly regarded
