FLYING BARK PRODUCTIONS IS A DYNAMIC AND INNOVATIVE ANIMATION STUDIO DEDICATED TO PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF CHARACTER ANIMATION AND STORYTELLING. WE ARE WORKING ON EXCITING PROJECTS SUCH AS AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER FEATURE FILM, NETFLIX’S STRANGER THINGS ANIMATED SERIES, AS WELL AS OUR PRODUCTION TALES FROM OUTER SUBURBIA BY SHAUN TAN.

The Production Pipeline TD collaborates with the Pipeline team and Production team to design, implement and create tools and systems and sustain continued pipeline support to the Production team.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Animated Feature Films, TV Series and VFX production experience;
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Shotgrid Toolkit;
  • Familiar with Cloud systems and APIs, ie. AWS S3, AWS Lambda, Boto Python API.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain the integration of the Production/Asset Management system with production pipeline tools;
  • Develop and maintain ShotGrid event triggers;
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Production / Asset Management system and Google Sheets to sustain production workflows;
  • Development of tools, procedures and interfaces to optimise the internal Flying Bark production workflows;
  • Ensure company and pipeline conventions and processes are followed throughout productions;
  • Design and implement scalable , interactive, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs to deliver high-quality production ready solutions;
  • Set up and deploy web applications on servers, ensuring smooth integration with cloud environments for reliable performance and scalability;
  • Optimize application performance, ensure high availability and scalability, and uphold best practices in code quality and software architecture;
  • Continually supply information to the Pipeline Supervisor, IT and production teams to facilitate communication and expectations in both directions;
  • Maintain regular communication with Head of Animation to ascertain production requirements and concerns;
  • Attend pipeline project meetings where necessary and internal pipeline meetings to gather department technical requirements, issues and priorities;
  • Contribute to the full agile development lifecycle, from system design and coding to documentation , training, deployment and maintenance;
  • Work effectively with global teams using collaboration tools like Google chat, Bitbucket, shared documentation, and regular video calls.
