Job Title: Production Planner
Location: Branchburg, NJ
Pay Rate: $34.00 - 37.85 per hour
Employment Type: 1 year contract with the possibility of extension, Full Time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in production planning or supply chain management.
  • Strong SAP and ERP system proficiency.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification in LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success implementing Kanban, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), and consignment solutions.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Flexible, collaborative, and resourceful in problem-solving.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build internal networks.
  • Experience in managing complex material planning across dynamic environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

BEPC is actively seeking a Production Planner to play a critical role in ensuring seamless production operations and material availability for both ongoing manufacturing and new product launches. In this role, you’ll take ownership of planning and procurement functions, analyze inventory trends, and drive alignment between supply chain strategies and business goals. This position requires hands-on collaboration with vendors, internal teams, and procurement stakeholders to manage inventory, mitigate risks, and deliver consistent, high-quality supply chain performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, purchase, and manage inventory to support production plans, CDI targets, and inventory optimization.
  • Review demand forecasts and manage production/purchase orders in alignment with operational priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with vendors, procurement, and value stream teams to resolve material-related issues.
  • Communicate and coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, warehouses, and production units (onsite/offsite).
  • Actively manage and update Material Master Data including lead times, safety stock, lot sizes, and reorder points.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings focused on production priorities, timelines, material status, and potential delays.
  • Monitor product lifecycle and proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with end-of-life materials.
  • Ensure efficient inventory turnover and minimize write-offs across a portfolio valued up to $60M.
