Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team at ABB Oy, Drives unit in Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning the production of frequency converters, ensuring the availability of products and components, and securing on-time deliveries to our customers. You will work in close collaboration with our production sites, purchasing team, and sales organization.
A key part of your responsibilities will also include contributing to the continuous improvement of our production planning processes and tools.
The position is based in Helsinki, with the possibility to work partly remotely after the initial training period. We welcome candidates who are either at the beginning of their careers or bring more extensive experience in production planning or related fields.
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid

Key responsibilities:

  • Allocating load to factories according to workload and available capacity
  • Planning and scheduling the production work queue to meet customer delivery expectations
  • Ensuring material availability to support uninterrupted production flow
  • Monitoring and supporting production progress to ensure smooth and timely execution
  • Defining and confirming delivery times for new customer orders based on production capacity and material status
  • Acting as a key interface between production, sales, purchasing, and other stakeholders
  • Developing and improving production planning processes and tools to align with business needs

Qualifications for the role:

  • It is essential that you have a self-driven and result-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative
  • Solution-focused approach and sound decision-making skills, especially under pressure are relevant
  • Resilient and resourceful – it is essential that you able to move forward step by step when facing challenges
  • Open-minded and enthusiastic about continuous improvement and innovation
  • It is essential that you are a proactive team player with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Industrial Management, Business Administration, Automation, or a related field
  • You are fluent in English and Finnish, both written and spoken
  • Good MS Office skills are essential. Experience with Production Planning in SAP or in another ERP-system and Power BI are beneficial
