  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Supply Planning within FMCG, Paint/Coatings, or Retail sectors.
  • Proficient in SAP Supply Planning and BI tools.
  • Results-driven, with strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong desire to challenge and improve the status quo.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work under pressure and collaborate across teams.
  • Fluent in English; culturally aware and sensitive to diverse ways of working.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Production Planner at AkzoNobel, you are responsible for translating customer demand into a feasible production plan that balances service, inventory, and cost. You will ensure that the factory operates efficiently by managing the short-term and long-term production plans, while working closely with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, scheduling, logistics, and supply planning. Your insights and decisions will directly impact product availability, inventory health, and operational performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain production plans that align with customer demand and available capacity, both in the short and long term.
  • Manage the planning process and handle any exceptions to ensure smooth production execution.
  • Coordinate production and capacity planning based on factory schedules and agreed parameters.
  • Release production orders and follow up on progress, working to improve schedule accuracy.
  • Collaborate with planning teams and manufacturing to resolve issues and ensure transparency.
  • Incorporate customer needs into the production plan in close cooperation with other planning functions.
  • Support decision-making by analyzing planning impacts and providing relevant data and reports.
  • Balance product availability, inventory levels, and production efficiency.
  • Help reduce excess and obsolete stock and support rework and scrapping activities.
  • Contribute to inventory planning by maintaining accurate safety stock levels.
  • Ensure planning data is accurate and well-maintained.
  • Take part in improvement projects to increase efficiency and planning performance.
