Description Under direction of the Sr Operations Manager, The Production Planner will be responsible for all day-to-day planning activities focused on the HPP department. The Production Planner will interact cross-functionally to help understand changing requirements, execute supply orders, and expedite components to help meet customer expectations. The person in this role should demonstrate a strong analytical and customer-focused mindset and utilize their expertise of materials planning concepts to ensure an uninterrupted, optimal supply of parts. Duties/Responsibilities: Compile information from a variety of sources into a master schedule. Enter data into the Labor report and review each shift daily. Report concerns and discuss with the team on corrective actions. Review throughput / loading daily to ensure company is consistently achieving and excessing production goals. Improve communication methods and scheduling processes. Increase visibility of information to leadership. Work closely with Production Management and Shipping & Receiving team daily to ensure trucks arrive on time, allowing the schedule to be approved. Work in progress on daily scheduling and make changes as needed. Late truck time-sensitive products are addressed, and last-minute changes to a product are made for various issues. Develop production staff to identify and train to ensure critical positions are not left unfilled. Approved production employee hours daily for payroll. Managing temporary employees should exceed our current needs. Other job duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools. Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly organized with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Education and Experience: High School Diploma Advance degree preferred. 5-7 years of manufacturing experience. 3-5 years of production planning experience. Physical and Environmental Working Conditions: The work environment for this role includes both office work and plant floor work. The conditions in the office will include time using the phone and the computer while sitting. The plant floor environment will expose this individual to regularly moving mechanical parts and forklifts. The environment is ventilated, air conditioned, damp, and with vibrations. Employees are required to wear the following protective equipment: hair net, steel toed boots (or equivalent), and eye wear. Hearing protection is optional.
