WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated understanding of and commitment to 5S principles.
- Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functional areas.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices within a manufacturing setting.
- Authorized to work in Canada
Other valued experience, knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Certification in production and inventory management an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure adequate stock availability while avoiding overstock situations.
- Utilize historical data, sales forecasts, and market trends to predict future demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources for production activities.
- Assess production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints, proposing solutions to optimize efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the production planning process, implementing best practices and standard procedures.
- Incorporate and adhere to 5S principles in production planning activities, promoting cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in workspaces and processes.
- Effectively communicate production schedules, priorities, and changes to relevant stakeholders, including production supervisors, managers, and other departments.
- Anticipate and mitigate potential risks to production schedules, such as equipment failures, material shortages, or unforeseen delays.
- Maintain accurate records of production plans, schedules, and performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Generate reports and performance metrics related to production planning activities, providing insights for decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
