Job Title: Production PlannerJob Description The Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and within budget. This role involves analyzing demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to create efficient production plans. The planner will monitor the production process, track progress, and adjust schedules as needed to address any bottlenecks or delays. Collaboration with various departments to coordinate material procurement, resource allocation, and delivery timelines is essential. Responsibilities Review sales forecasts and current orders to assess inventory status and upcoming production needs. Create, evaluate, and modify purchase orders to support developed production schedules. Verify resource availability, including material, equipment, and labor, required for production to deliver excellent customer service at optimal inventory levels. Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production. Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs and improve production processes and product quality. Monitor and drive required changes to production schedules to ensure customer service deadlines are met. Compile status and performance reports and submit them to management in a timely manner. Inform relevant departments of changes to current production schedules promptly. Essential Skills Proficiency in production planning and supply chain management. Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP. Sound knowledge of MRP systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 1-3 years of experience as a Production Planner. Experience working in a complex manufacturing facility is preferred. Work Environment This position is based onsite in Hawthorne. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hawthorne, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr. The Production Planner will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and within budget.
