Description The role of the Production Planner is to create a robust production schedule that guides procurement needs and allows operations to efficiently produce the end products for Certified Power Solutions customers. Create production plans driven by Sales demand (external and internal). Schedule and release work orders in an ERP to execute plan. Contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Ownership of customer level demand and production schedule planning to create robust short and medium-term forecasts. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Engineering, and Finance. Provide clear reporting insights on inventory, demand trends and analytics; providing recommendations to Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations in a timely and effective manner to minimize waste and maximize On-Time-Delivery. Participate in the implementation of related technology solutions and applications to enhance performance. Process Management: Continuously improve demand signal process. Document and define end-to-end process improvement across functions, systems and stakeholders. Leads program management on defining and implementing cost reduction initiatives. SPECIAL SKILLS: Possess business acumen, able to think and plan strategically, able to execute tasks with minimal instruction and strong attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven impact and ability to influence stakeholders. Results oriented with strong analytical and problem resolution skills. Ability to be resourceful and work effectively across multiple locations. Strong process/system background and proven capability to rapidly understand, use and drive improvements in new processes/systems. Requirements 3+ years in demand planning, forecasting or Sales and Operations related functions. 3+ years in production scheduling within an ERP. Understanding of production rates, MRP, and how to monitor schedule adherence. Strong focus on detail and accuracy. Experience in delivering results across functions and geographies in a matrix environment. Experience working with multiple production sites that require intercompany transfers. Proven self-starter and ability to deliver results with minimal supervision. In-depth knowledge of MS Office Applications, including advance knowledge of Excel, MS Project and Access.
