Description DESCRIPTION: Dean Technology is seeking a Production Planner to support our high-mix, medium-volume electronics manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for planning and scheduling production across SMT, assembly, test, and box-build while balancing customer priorities, material availability, and shop capacity in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable managing frequent change while working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and customer-facing teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules. Release and manage work orders to meet customer delivery commitments. Sequence jobs to optimize line utilization and changeovers. Adjust schedules in response to material shortages, ECOs, and production issues. Coordinate closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Test. Support NPI, prototype, and ECO-driven builds. Maintain accurate data in the ERP/MRP system (BOMs, routings, work orders). Track and report on schedule adherence, WIP, shortages, and on-time delivery. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve flow and responsiveness. Requirements Required Qualifications 3+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in electronics manufacturing. Experience in a high-mix environment with frequent changes and customer-driven priorities. Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, BOMs, routings, and work orders. Strong Excel and data analysis skills. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Electro-Mechanical systems manufacturing Exposure to NPI and ECO-intensive environments. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Must be able to check availability of parts · Prepare production schedule to ensure that facility has the necessary material and manpower to meet required manufacturing/production level. · Use computer to run reports on a daily basis to analyze and measure the current production status. · Identify problem areas that inhibit full schedule realization · Identify and resolve suppliers and internal errors that result on a budget or schedule discrepancies. QUALIFICATIONS: · Strong communication and organizational skills. · Work well with other departments to ensure a smooth and seamlessly workflow. · Ability to change directions and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis. · Eye for detail. · High school diploma or equivalent · Speak and read English · Mature work ethic and team player PREFERABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: · Computer skills a must. · Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Planner/Scheduler · Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment · Understanding of SMT, assembly, and test operations.
