THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner & Estimator to join our senior management team. In this influential role, you’ll shape operational strategy, oversee project delivery, and provide accurate, detailed client quotations to balance profitability and value. You’ll be pivotal in liaising across departments and ensuring production and pricing align seamlessly with company goals.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Proven production and capacity planning experience
· Strong understanding of furniture build methodology including machining, joinery, spraying, and upholstery
· Expertise in material cost estimation and client quoting
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in Excel (macros/formulas a plus) and strong data management
· Advantage: Experience using Airtable(training provided)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain production schedules based on timelines, material availability, and capacity
· Monitor inventory and procure materials/components as required
· Coordinate with design, project, and production teams to align schedules and resolve challenges
· Conduct demand and labour capacity planning
· Maintain production records and documentation
· Present material shortages, schedule updates, and forward plans at weekly operations meetings
· Negotiate supplier agreements, raise POs, and place orders
· Prepare timely and accurate quotations for clients, based on specifications, drawings, and material/labour cost analysis
· Contribute to strategic decision-making as part of the senior management team
