Role Overview: The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of projects at the Goodyear facilities. This role ensures timely and accurate release of manufacturing work orders, supports material availability, and maintains alignment between production, purchasing, warehouse, and sales. The ideal candidate is data-driven, highly organized, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and skilled in both ERP systems and advanced Excel analysis. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling · Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements and convert these into actionable production plans. · Utilize the ERP system to autogenerate and maintain accurate manufacturing work orders. · Release work orders to the warehouse with complete and accurate information. · Coordinate and expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedule commitments are met. Material Coordination · Partner with the warehouse team to verify material availability and identify shortages. · Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite supplier purchase orders when required. · Monitor part deliveries to maintain uninterrupted production flow. Cross-Functional Communication · Collaborate closely with Project Management to support project schedules and priorities. · Notify Sales promptly of any potential schedule impacts or delays. · Maintain clear communication with internal teams to support efficient production execution. Reporting & Analysis · Prepare and maintain accurate status reports, including production progress, customer updates, and material inventory levels. · Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, material risks, and improvement opportunities. · Support KPI reporting (e.g., on time delivery, schedule adherence, WIP visibility). Required Qualifications · Minimum 3 years' experience in production planning or scheduling. · Strong understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost-related manufacturing concepts. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. · Advanced Excel proficiency. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable interpreting data to make recommendations. · Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly learn software systems. · In-depth ERP system experience highly preferred (ERP module scheduling, work order management). · Minimum bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
