Summary   The Production Control Planner is responsible for scheduling the production floor based upon the master schedule, material availability, and capacity. The Production Control Planner will maximize throughput by scheduling work as efficiently as possible in each department. They will work closely with the production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues on the manufacturing floor and ensure customer orders ship on time. Essential Duties & Responsibilities   * Release Production Orders to the shop floor – ensuring information in ERP system matches the Contract Review Checklist * Schedule work at various departments, taking into account customer needs, capacity, material and tooling availability, and setup efficiency * Provide status on open order reports as requested by sales team/customers * Process Change Orders * Schedule outside service, working closely with vendors to ensure their lead times align with our production schedule * Review Expedite requests from sales team and propose expedite terms * Ensure accuracy of ship dates in ERP system * Review actual throughput against expected throughput on CPAs to identify production issues * Communicate any constraints and quality concerns to management team * Other duties as assigned by manager  Job Qualifications   * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field * Minimum of 2 years of planning experience in manufacturing environment * Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must have ERP & Microsoft Excel Experience * Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
