Job summary: LGT is urgently hiring a Production Planner for First Shift (6AM-2:30PM). The ideal candidate will plan the short- and long-term flow of work through the Inspection & Maintenance Operation. Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and control Maintenance Schedules in order to maximize output and meet shipping dates according to customer orders. Liaison between Maintenance, Purchasing, and Sales. Interfaces daily with stores regarding late inventory, schedule changes and relays the information to the appropriate department. Problem solves scheduling issues on a daily basis. Issue Work Orders including the part’s drawings where applicable and open RO’s as appropriate and in line with the company’s procedures and policy. Enter data into the company’s system in a timely manner. Act as liaison for contacts with vendors / third party manufacturers. and follow up prior to the expected date of delivery to ensure they meet the deadline. Endeavor to be a positive example at all times; through professional behavior, with complete integrity honesty, commitment to the company and compliance with its policies and procedures. Other duties as required in support of the Inspection & Maintenance Operation. Requirements Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, plus related college level courses or equivalent. Minimum of 3-years’ experience in Maintenance Planning is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with ability to follow through. Ability to establish and maintain good relations with all departments. Ability to work under pressure. Organized and professional manner. Demonstrates initiative and drive. Data-entry/keyboarding skills a plus.
Responsibilities
Plan and control maintenance schedules to maximize output and ensure customer shipping dates are met. Act as a primary liaison between Maintenance, Purchasing, Sales, and external vendors to manage workflow and inventory.
