Here is a description of the role we are opening:
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our supply chain department – Team production planning. The Production Planner will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure efficient and timely fulfilment of customer orders. This role integrates production data, optimizes processes, and supports internal logistics and partially purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Production Scheduling:

  • Plan and prepare production schedules, including machine and staff allocations, to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Coordinate the flow of work and materials in alignment with daily and weekly production schedules.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Oversee the end-to-end order fulfilment process, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Release and manage production orders for both internal and external processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare flow charts and production documents as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and information, completing status reports to track production progress.

    Cross-Departmental Integration:

  • Integrate information from other production departments, including customer orders, projects, and sample orders, into the production workflow.

Process Evaluation and KPI Reporting:

  • Evaluate and report process data using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance production efficiency.

Production Monitoring:

  • Monitor production schedules and deadlines, addressing any delays or issues promptly.

Order Management and Internal Logistics:

  • Oversee order management processes, including internal logistics and material flow within the production area.

SAP Administration:

  • Administer SAP tasks, including the creation of articles, jobs, processing steps, and BDM (base date management).
  • Drive improvements within the SAP R3 / QAD system to optimize production processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a production planner.
  • Proven experience in production planning, preferably within an RFID or electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP R3 or QAD systems.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental coordination.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic production requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Data visualization skills (Power BI or similar tools).
  • Advanced Excel skills
