OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Production Planner to join our team! Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining daily production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery. The Production Planner will coordinate material availability, manage system data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and customer commitments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Certification in inventory or supply chain (APICS CPIM or CSCP) an asset.
  • Purchasing experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems or other inventory software.
  • Knowledge of inventory procedures such as cycle counting, FIFO/LIFO, and stock rotation.
  • Ability to work independently, and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to communicate with various departments.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule new and existing jobs daily across Molding, Assembly, and Production based on material availability.
  • Coordinate and manage customer-specific requirements that fall outside standard operations.
  • Perform scenario testing in the test server, when required, to plan for upcoming production jobs.
  • Ensure adherence to OSB’s inventory stocking policies when planning and scheduling production.
  • Generate and analyze future-free reports on Kanban sub-assemblies, create necessary production jobs, and schedule them in sequence with existing work.
  • Manage monthly transaction shut-offs to support accurate month-end reporting.
  • Maintain accurate system records for employee and equipment profiles.
  • Run and distribute daily production plan reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor raw material levels for both current and future jobs, adjusting the schedule as needed to reflect material availability.
  • Reschedule jobs based on material allocations and current inventory levels to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Oversee the release of back-ordered sales order lines once finished goods are available.
  • Perform job and sales order maintenance, including substitutions and job de-linking as required.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales teams to accommodate urgent or high-priority production requests.
  • Administer and maintain the MOM system, including managing advanced settings and ensuring system accuracy.
