Job Title: Production Planner (PMC / Delivery Coordination) Department: Operations / PMC Location: Irving, Texas Reports To: Operations Manager / Production Manager Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8 hours per day, with flexibility based on production, shipment, and cross-timezone coordination needs Position Summary This role is responsible for end-to-end production planning and delivery coordination, bridging customer demand (EDI), factory capacity, material readiness, and shipment execution. The position focuses on ensuring plan accuracy, on-time delivery, system-data alignment, and proactive risk management across demand changes, material shortages, version transitions, and operational disruptions. Key Responsibilities Manage customer EDI demand on a daily basis. Monitor demand changes, understand root causes, and proactively communicate with customers to align on consumption status and future expectations. Identify risks early and drive internal alignment. Lead material transition planning, including new part introduction and phase-out of existing materials. Define clear execution plans covering consumption of old materials, replacement strategy, timing, and cost impact, ensuring controlled and efficient transitions. Develop and maintain production plans (weekly/daily) based on EDI demand, line capacity, WIP status, and material availability. Continuously track execution and identify gaps such as bottlenecks, shortages, or version conflicts. Coordinate cross-functionally with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering to ensure material readiness, version control, and execution feasibility. Drive mitigation plans for any shortages or disruptions. Lead weekly work order settlement and closure with Production, Warehouse, and Purchasing. Ensure system data aligns with physical inventory and production status, maintaining high data integrity. Organize and lead production review meetings. Evaluate line-level performance across production, quality, and engineering, and provide clear status updates and action tracking. Follow up on all operational abnormalities, including demand fluctuation, production issues, quality concerns, material shortages, and shipment deviations. Ensure issues are tracked, resolved, and closed with clear ownership. Maintain regular communication with China headquarters on a weekly basis. Provide updates on production performance, work order status, shipment progress, and key risks. Ensure packaging and shipment execution meet customer requirements in terms of quantity, timing, labeling, and compliance. Drive on-time delivery performance. Coordinate customer pickup and logistics arrangements. After final quality release, ensure timely and accurate ASN submission and shipment documentation. Manage customer complaints, claims, and chargebacks related to shipment and delivery. Conduct internal analysis, provide clear explanations, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Operate and utilize SAP system effectively, including PR creation and tracking of material procurement status to support production plans. Support Finance and HR in monthly production performance evaluation by providing accurate and traceable operational data. Complete other planning, delivery, and coordination tasks as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related fields. Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, PMC, scheduling, or delivery coordination in a manufacturing environment. Experience in automotive or electronics manufacturing is preferred. Familiar with EDI demand management, production scheduling, work order control, inventory management, and shipment processes. Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems; capable of handling PR creation and material tracking independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate demand, capacity, and material status into executable plans. Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills; able to work effectively with customers, headquarters, and internal teams. High sense of ownership, execution-driven, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. English communication skills required; bilingual (English/Chinese) is a plus.
