Description Position Summary Provide a concise overview of the role’s primary purpose, its contribution to Forgent Power’s mission, and key outcomes expected. The Production Planner ensures manufacturing processes run efficiently and on schedule by creating production plans, managing inventory, and coordinating material flow. The Production Planner will optimize resources to meet customer demand, reduce downtime, and maintain cost-effective operations. Key Responsibilities Develop, manage, and adjust rolling production plan in line with the master production schedule and customer orders Execute clear to build process in collaboration with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and warehouse operations Create work order priorities and sequencing to maximize efficiency and meet customer delivery requirements Monitor production progress and address delays or disruptions Optimize production capacity, labor, and equipment utilization Maintain accurate production planning data in MRP as needed Collaborating with commercial team for expedite requests Collaborating on NPI projects as needed Measure and action KPI performance Identify and implement process improvements opportunities Qualifications Experience: 3-5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling Software Knowledge: Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuites) and MS Office (specifically Excel) Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Technology and supply chain logistics Education: A Bachelor's degree, in business or supply chain preferred Core Competencies & Behaviors Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities to handle production disruptions Analytical Skills: High-level data analysis for forecasting and inventory management Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve production bottlenecks, shortages, or equipment failures proactively Communication: Effective coordination with internal teams Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines Detail-Oriented: Ensuring accuracy in schedules, inventory records, and production reporting Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing schedules, unexpected delays, and changing customer orders Working Conditions Manufacturing setting, ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs, work in varied conditions, and perform detailed work. Limited Travel.
