Position Summary: Production Planner is responsible for working with both managers and production employees to ensure the company hits its production goals on time. They handle all the scheduling and ensure the materials, machines and workspaces are ready to go to increase production efficiency. Production Planner will monitor the overall situation to minimize the impact on production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Customer Communication Manage all customer communication regarding orders, shipments, and inventory for select customers. Order Processing Confirms orders to CSR as well as provides expected production dates. Ensures all needed material, packaging, and supplies are received before processing begins. Provides production process packages to production team in a timely manner. Tracks order activity and alerts appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems. Tracks and manages warehouse inventories. Assembly & Completion Gathers and processes all final production processing documentation in a timely manner (less than 24 hours). Reviews and audits all final production processing documentation. Enters final assembly & completion information into the system for all customers. Communicates final completion information to the CSR within 36 hours of completion. Coordination Works closely with the Operations Manager as they identify areas for optimization. Actively supports implementation of optimization initiatives. Works closely with other team members in logistics, operations, R & D, engineering, safety and quality groups to ensure seamless interactions with customers. Maintain daily production schedule for all operations. Lead production meeting for daily update to team members on status of jobs.
