PRODUCTION PLANNER | DORSET | £32,000

Are you a detail-oriented planner with experience in production scheduling or supply chain coordination? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and precision are key to delivering quality products?
We’re recruiting for a well-established food manufacturer in Dorset known for their high standards, collaborative team culture, and continued investment in people and process. As the business continues to grow, they’re looking for a proactive and commercially aware Production Planner to take ownership of both short- and long-term planning.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally, improving processes, and making a tangible impact on daily operations and customer service.

AS PRODUCTION PLANNER, YOUR EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Proven experience in production planning, supply chain, or demand forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (experience with LV systems advantageous)
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships across teams and functions
  • Experience in food manufacturing (advantageous but not essential)

Responsibilities
  • Developing short-term and long-term production plans in line with sales forecasts and capacity
  • Maintaining and updating production schedules to minimise delays and ensure on-time delivery
  • Working closely with Sales, Purchasing and Operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and planning
  • Hosting regular planning meetings and liaising with customer planners to maintain strong relationships
  • Supporting internal systems including planning tools and schedule maintenance
  • Monitoring factory capacity, shortages and performance KPIs
