Description

Lemur Labels is an expanding self-adhesive label company in Hyde, Manchester. As we continue to grow our production capabilities and serve new sectors with our high-quality printed labels, we’re looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler to join our team.
As a Production Planner, you’ll be key to ensuring our digital labels are produced efficiently and on time. You’ll plan and schedule jobs, keep the sales team informed on progress, and work closely with the Production Manager.
Your goal will be to optimise production flow, minimise waste, and meet customer deadlines, all while ensuring operational excellence. Experience in CERM is advantageous.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Production Planner/manager/scheduler, ideally within a label printing environment.
  • Understanding of production planning principles
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using a MIS system
  • Familiarity with digital printing technologies and workflows (e.g HP Indigo, Screen, ABG).

Responsibilities
  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain the production schedule for all digital label orders, taking into account machine capacity and customer deadlines.
  • Order Management: Liaise with the sales team to review and process new orders.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify and implement opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline workflows.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key production metrics, such as on-time delivery, machine utilization, and waste levels.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all relevant departments, including sales, prepress, and dispatch, to ensure a smooth production process.
