Description Primary Function: Manages the daily production schedule and priorities. Coordinates and prioritizes activities with supporting departments and cross functional teams to ensure schedule execution and customer on time delivery. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Schedules all manufacturing work centers (production, assembly, and re-work) to optimize utilization, capacity, material availability and manufacturing efficiencies while meeting customer delivery schedules, including scheduling samples. Manages the daily production schedule and collaborates with Manufacturing and Customer Service to prioritize and provide solutions to scheduling changes and challenges in order to meet customer delivery requirements. Creates and communicates priority lists for weekday and occasional weekend schedules. Evaluates and updates monthly forecasts to assist in capacity planning and improve overall efficiencies. Analyzes work center and production runs and collaborates with Customer Service to optimize efficiency in order to meet the needs of the customer and business. Develops alternate solutions for customers when original production plans cannot be met due to equipment downtime, material shortages, capacity constraints, or other manufacturing disruptions ensuring customer requirements are still met with minimal impact to quality, cost, and delivery. Coordinates material availability with purchasing and reviews customer stocking programs to ensure inventory availability. Manages manufacturing minimums, safety stock, multiples of and scheduling parameters. Additional Responsibilities: Schedules mold and press preventative maintenance (PM’s) and screw pulls as needed. Manages the shop calendar. Manages scheduling parameters by item or customer. Optimizes scheduling by maintaining BOM settings and performing MRP updates. Performs detailed evaluation and analysis of production related data as requested. Requirements Required Skill/Knowledge: Must have 2-5 years of scheduling experience for multi-site work centers (production and assembly), with an understanding of demand planning. Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking using multiple inputs to solve complex problems within tight timelines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, MS Office, ERP system experience. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize, attention to detail, and able to adapt to frequent change. Preferred Skills/ Knowledge: (Ideal skill set) IQMS, injection molding, ISO standards Education Level / Required Certification: Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent, prefer Associate’s Degree, or equivalent education and experience. Additional Information: Minimal lifting less than 35 pounds, able to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend. Extended periods of sitting and time at a computer. Must have reliable transportation for travel between plants, will have exposure to manufacturing floor and odor of plastics. Other duties as assigned.
