Description
The Production Planning Analyst works on the holistic development and implementation of a supply chain that will produce sustained on time delivery performance, targeted customer lead time breakthroughs and optimized financial results. The Production Planner will ensure the Sales and Operations Planning processes efficiently achieve customer service levels. General Responsibilities • Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation • Analyze and prepare documents needed for production • Creates production schedule and prioritizes job-orders for production optimization • Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation • Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory • Coordinates with production supervisors and purchasing, communicates with customer service to meet customer needs • Monitors process capacity and output • Set finished good inventory goals, review new inventory requirements, and ensure compliance to existing inventory models Experience / Qualifications • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers Ensure daily production goals are met to satisfy customer requirements. Analyze and prepare necessary production documents. Develop production schedules and prioritize job orders for efficiency. Maintain production schedules and generate required reports. Facilitate material and document flow to meet production schedules and customer needs. Compile progress reports on production, work in progress, and raw material inventory. Collaborate with production supervisors, purchasing, and customer service to address customer needs. Monitor production capacity and output. Establish and manage finished goods inventory targets, assess new inventory needs, and ensure adherence to inventory models. Plan material requirements based on business forecasts, customer orders, and production schedules. Coordinate with various departments such as manufacturing, purchasing, supplier quality engineering, customer service, and business continuity planning. Manage inventory levels (raw materials, work in progress, finished goods). Engage with global teams, attend meetings, and identify solutions to address issues. Develop strategies with the team to achieve global planning metrics (e.g., NOTD, DLQ, DOH, E&O reductions). Coordinate resources for production line relocations and startup projects. Proficient in generating and analyzing various global reports to support planning activities.
