QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the steel fabrication or galvanizing industry.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and production planning software.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly steel fabrication and galvanizing.
• Proficient in production planning tools and techniques.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Work Environment:
• The role is based in a manufacturing facility with exposure to industrial equipment and processes.

Experience:

• Production Planning:
• Develop and implement production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Resource Management:
• Determine manpower, equipment, and raw material requirements for production.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of required resources.
• Process Optimization:
• Analyze production workflows to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce waste and costs.
• Data Management:
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job orders, material usage, and output.
• Prepare regular reports on production performance, delays, and challenges.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the design, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure alignment with production goals.
• Communicate with the sales and customer service teams to update order statuses and resolve customer queries.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all production activities adhere to quality standards and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control team to address and resolve quality issues.
• Health and Safety:
• Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations in the production area.
• Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as required.
