POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Planning Manager is responsible for developing and executing both strategic and tactical production schedules across multiple manufacturing facilities within the U.S. This role plays a critical part in ensuring on-time delivery, resource optimization, and alignment with procurement, logistics, and international operations. The ideal candidate brings a data-driven mindset, cross-functional leadership experience, and strong systems proficiency to deliver best-in-class production planning.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, procurement, or program management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and shift-based production environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems for integrated planning and reporting.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage production schedules across multiple facilities to maximize efficiency, reduce lead times, and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Align with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to synchronize material sourcing, inventory, and production execution.
  • Proactively assess and mitigate schedule risks in collaboration with internal stakeholders to maintain operational continuity.
  • Support demand planning by coordinating closely with Sales and Procurement; provide insights on lead times, capacity, and production constraints.
  • Build and maintain capacity models for short-term and long-range planning initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams focused on planning initiatives and process improvement.
  • Coordinate with international partners in France and Thailand on imports and global production alignment.
  • Use ERP and planning tools to monitor KPIs, track production performance, and drive accountability.
  • Support labor and resource planning in accordance with forecasted volume and operational limitations.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication of production plans; make timely adjustments as needed.
