Description
About NewPhotonics NewPhotonics is disrupting data center processing with novel photonic engines that solve today’s power and performance bottlenecks. We are building next-generation photonics technology and scaling production across leading global foundries and OSATs. We are seeking a Production Planning Manager to lead and manage end-to-end chip production planning — from wafer manufacturing through all OSAT stages including bumping, wafer test, dicing, sorting, burn-in, and final test. This role is central to ensuring accurate forecasting, optimized capacity planning, and on-time delivery to customers. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage the full production plan for NewPhotonics chips across foundry and OSAT partners. Own company production forecasting and ensure alignment with sales, operations, and supply chain. Monitor wafer manufacturing progress and coordinate all downstream OSAT processes (bumping, wafer test, dicing, sorting, burn-in, final test). Track production status, identify risks, and drive mitigation plans to ensure on-time delivery. Manage capacity planning, cycle-time tracking, and load balancing across multiple suppliers. Maintain strong operational interfaces with foundries, OSATs, and internal engineering teams. Build and maintain dashboards and reports for production performance, yield impact, and shipment readiness. Ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and according to quality and quantity commitments. Lead weekly production meetings and provide clear visibility on constraints, delays, or required escalations. Support NPI → high-volume production ramp transitions. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s is an advantage). 5+ years of experience in semiconductor production planning, supply chain, or related operations roles. Hands-on experience working with wafer fabs and OSAT providers. Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flows (wafer fab → backend → testing). Experience with production forecasting and capacity planning. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and planning tools/ERP systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple external suppliers. Proven ability to drive execution, solve problems proactively, and meet aggressive timelines. High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail. Familiar with Priority Preferred Experience in photonics, SiPh, or optics-related products. Experience working in a fast-moving startup environment. Familiarity with yield analysis and manufacturing KPIs. Knowledge of MES/ERP systems (e.g., Monday.com, Agile).
