Your Title: Transport Planner Job Location: Tokoroa, New Zealand Our Department: Logistics Services About the Role Using specialist logistics software, the Transport Planner’s role is to execute and monitor the wood flow plan to ensure successful outcomes for our clients. This will require you to balance the micro requirements of the contractors to achieve the macro objectives of the forest owners. You will be coordinating and scheduling harvesting contractors and logging trucks to uplift loads, thinking about the best overall utilization of the fleet and minimum cost of distribution, solving a myriad of problems that occur along the way. You will be monitoring and reporting on production, inventory, and delivery targets, negotiating with suppliers and customers and meeting them in the field when issues demand direct communications. You will also be supporting the Regional Manager and helping create a positive culture within the operation through leading by example.
