WHEELER AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION PRESENTATION TECHNICIAN DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION & MEDIA REPORT TO: DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION & MEDIA STATUS: CONTRACT POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Presentation Technician at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church provides essential backend support for the Media & Production department. This role is responsible for managing the lyrics database, operating graphics systems during worship services and productions, creating, and performing other duties as assigned to support productions in both the Cathedral and the Sanctuary. This position ensures visual and technical consistency in worship services and supports the smooth execution of church productions. RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: Worship & Service Support * Operate graphics computers to display song lyrics, scripture, and other on-screen text during live productions. * Ensure accurate and timely on-screen displays in both the Cathedral and Sanctuary. * Participate in production team meetings as scheduled. * Perform other duties as mutually agreed upon in the contract. Lyrics Database Management * Maintain and organize the lyrics database for use in worship services and special events. * Update, proofread, and ensure consistency across all lyric and scripture files. QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in media production, especially in live worship or church environments. * Proficiency with presentation software such as ProPresenter or similar platforms. * Basic video editing and graphic design skills are a plus (e.g., iMovie, PowerPoint, Canva). * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. * A heart for worshipping God. * Commitment to the mission and ministry of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a church/community center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand, and/or dust. Working conditions range from moderately quiet to noisy volumes. The contractor will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. The contractor may be asked to work at multiple church locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The contractor must adhere to appearance guidelines established by Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, based on the church or on churches in the city or area.
