Description
RH is seeking a Production Quality Specialist, RH Contract to join our growing Shanghai team. This role supports product testing, safety, compliance, and quality processes for RH Contract products across North American, EU, and UK markets. As a partner to the RH Contract Project Sourcing and Product Safety & Compliance teams, this role will review product testing requirements, manage test reports, analyze compliance data, and support the business in meeting evolving regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, clear communication, and experience working cross-functionally with vendors, labs, sourcing partners, and internal teams. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES * Live Our Vision, Values and Beliefs every day * Partner with RH Contract Project Sourcing, Product Safety & Compliance, cross-functional teams, vendors and labs on product testing, labeling requirements and regulatory compliance * Review new furniture products to determine testing requirements, product groupings, testing levels and applicable compliance standards * Receive and review product test reports, providing clear direction on resolution of test failures and next steps * Ensure product test reports are processed accurately through ICIX and related product test management platforms * Prepare and present product testing progress reports, data insights and recommendations to cross-functional partners * Analyze testing data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for process improvement * Develop strong knowledge of regulatory and safety expectations for RH products across North American, EU and UK markets * Monitor regulatory developments affecting RH products and support business readiness for new product requirements * Support RH Contract factory partner claims and chargebacks, including administration, follow-up, reporting and communication with client-facing teams OUR REQUIREMENTS * 3+ years of experience in product compliance, product safety, quality, sourcing, supply chain, merchandising, product development, manufacturing or a related field * Experience in home furnishings, retail, product design, supplier, manufacturer, sourcing agency, third-party testing lab, factory quality control or regulatory environment preferred * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred * Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through * Experience reviewing product testing, compliance documentation, quality data or regulatory requirements * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word * Experience working with web-based data management, workflow or communication platforms; Salesforce or ICIX experience preferred * Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach * Highly organized and collaborative, with experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment * Legal authorization to work in China * Proficiency in English required due to the international nature of our business and the need to communicate with global teams PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer * Frequent use of standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard and phone * Occasional standing, walking, bending and reaching * Occasional lifting and moving of items up to 10 pounds * Work is primarily performed in an office environment
