Other requirements include:

• Unpack orders for operators.
• Collect empty boxes from machines and take to empty box skids.
• Sweep around thread shelves and other areas as necessary.
• Audit thread boxes to ensure colors are put away correctly.
• Report thread colors in which inventory is running low.
• Strong Basic Math Skill

This is a key role to assisting the Machine Operators in keeping production going at full speed.
The Production Assistant is responsible for making sure the machines threads are full.
Strong attention to detail is a must as the correct brand and color of threads are very important.
Excellent hand-eye coordination is required to tie threads together at a shoulder to above shoulder height.
Strong reading skills needed to read work orders and determine the correct brands and colors of thread.
This position is fast paced, requires continuous walking, reaching and bending. Continuous reaching above shoulder level is required.
