Description Oversee the ERP production schedule for a specific business unit based on customer demand and sales forecasting. The production scheduler will manage the ERP schedule based on customer orders, forecast, capacity, and new programs. Integrate the schedule inputs from operations, customer support, engineering, and material planning into ERP. Maintain daily and weekly production schedules for execution of overall schedule attainment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Generate and provide APS driven production schedules for a specific business unit, based on customer demand, forecasted orders, material planning, and operational capacity. · Update ERP parameters to facilitate the accuracy and utilization of APS. · Ensure accuracy of operation times and resources in ERP. · Provide input on proposed new customer demand or demand changes. · Update customer support on impacts to schedule attainment. · Communicate and collaborate with the business unit team, customer support, material planning, and master scheduler. · Operate under the guidance and direction of the master scheduler, while reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager. · Ensure APS structure and schedule ensures successful fulfillment of consignment inventory requirements, finished goods strategy, and forecast order management. · Support the material planning function with visibility on upcoming demand or demand changes. · Ensure accurate shipping schedule for the business unit and support sales forecasting accuracy. · Maintain ERP schedule accuracy and updates according to changes in production capacity and customer demand. · Integrate upcoming engineering development demands into the production schedule. · Support the maintenance and implementation of the advance planning system (APS). · Other duties as assigned. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS · High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). · BS degree or equivalent related job experience preferred. · Proven experience in production or materials planning preferred. · Experience with an ERP or MRP system preferred. · Excellent organizational skills. · Strong computational skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Must be proficient in operation of a computer and using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
