Description
Adhere and align to the Master Production Schedule. Re-sequence/re-route production orders when capacity constrained to minimize deviations from MPS. Escalate execution issues to Network Schedulers when resolution time is not allowing adherence to MPS. Manage shop floor scheduling; level load work orders based on cell capacity. Manage work orders to ensure manufacturing has always has work and communicates with operations if otherwise. Direct daily workflow (WIP - “work in process”) through analysis of reports and input from cross-functional teams. Align and set priorities for resources and shared resources across factory to maximize efficiency and material flow to ensure customer OTD. Expedite orders for customers where possible; expedite shortages with buyers; communicate updates to customer service. Ensure work orders for their areas of responsibility are current, not past due, not in pick status for long periods of time. Support minimizing past due sales dollars, monitoring and resolving quality issues and drive customer on-time delivery. Support High Performance Work Teams & flexible/capable of working in different environments. Support plant continuous improvement. Communicate with cross-functional teams including: Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations and Purchasing. Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and techniques which will improve the scheduling function. Ensure compliance with applicable contract flow down (FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc.). High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of one (1) year experience in supply chain or operations. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment or supply chain. Thorough knowledge of industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and MFG Pro. Proficient computer-systems knowledge and application skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization (customers, marketing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing). Desire to work in a collaborative environment with strong ability to take action and get results. Ability to quickly analyze, identify and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement that have a measurable impact.
