Description

This is a key position and is responsible for the daily plant production schedule. A professional work ethic in this position is vital as is the commitment to doing an exceptional job.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Experience as a production scheduler an asset
  • Production experience an asset
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Advanced ability to effectively problem-solve, communicate.
  • Team player within multi-disciplined team.
  • Strong organizational skill set
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
Responsibilities

· Plans and establishes production schedules
· Tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules.
· Manage all aspects of production scheduling, capacity management and customer demand.
· Thoroughly understand plant manufacturing processes and equipment.
· Support and drive continuous process improvement
· Develop, monitor, and manage master production schedule/tracker.
· Work with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Sales, and Engineering to resolve issues that may impact schedule deviation.
· Review and consult with Sales on actual and forecast customer demand to assure schedule is aligned to meet customer delivery requirements.
· Monitor plant load to capacity and adjust schedule to meet customer expectations.
· Work with Sales on default lead times for finished product.
· Track actual production against production plan/schedule.
· Work with plant management to drive solutions for gaps in plan performance.
· Review at-risk orders and bring recommendations and resolution to management team for review.
· Reviews customer expedite requests, provide updates to customers, monitors production orders to ensure they meet completion dates provided to customers
· Utilize ERP system to improve planning and scheduling process efficiency.
· Promote a safe work environment.
· Other duties as required
