QUALIFICATIONS

  • University or College Education or a combination of education and or experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Master Production Scheduling in manufacturing, supply chain management or a related field.
  • Direct experience with ERP system preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our team at our pressure vessel manufacturing facility.
This person will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery and efficient workflow throughout the shop floor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain weekly and long-range production schedules based on capacity, resources, and priorities.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure schedule alignment and material availability.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate material shortages, equipment downtime, or changing priorities.
  • Lead and facilitate regular scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams.
  • Track work-in-progress and identify bottlenecks or delays that impact delivery timelines.
  • Communicate schedule updates and progress to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Use ERP/MRP system data to drive scheduling decisions and provide accurate reporting.
  • Analyze shop capacity and resource constraints to ensure schedule feasibility.
  • Provide timely reports, including:
  • On-time start rates
  • On-time shipments (to customer or internal assembly)
  • Aging job/work order status
