Your opportunity:
As a Production Scheduler III, you will coordinate the activities of the production scheduling team to ensure the manufacturing needs are met in accordance with company direction, sales, and operations. You will identify capacity trends, make process improvements to increase efficiencies and accuracy, perform root cause analysis, and adapt as necessary.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Communicate production schedule requirements with operations staff, supply chain, and all applicable business functions.
  • Identify trends, suggest, and/or initiate systematic capacity adjustments in accordance to strategic initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain capacity templates and adjust capacity/manpower as demand dictates. Determine capacity for short lead time programmed orders.
  • Knowledge and ability to extract reports out of business intelligence software. Interpret and/or organize the data to drive results.
  • May develop and maintain sales and operations plans with the assistance of the Scheduling Manager
  • Verify and adjust the schedule in accordance with the availability of critical parts. Perform root cause analysis to determine if corrective action is required.
  • Provide support and communication between sales and production facility for schedule changes and cancelations. Identifies trends in scheduling changes and cancellations and escalates as appropriate.
  • Communicate late shipments daily to sales and shipping departments.
  • May create and distribute daily status reports to all necessary business functions.
  • Establish schedules in accordance with the overall sales and operations plan.
  • Identify gaps within scheduling SAP processes and support SAP enhancements/improvements.
  • Recognize and implement changes to daily capacity and opportunities for labor reduction.
  • Implement changes resulting from engineering or customer requests.
  • Answer and assist with inquiries from the sales department pertaining to production status of an order.
  • May supervise production team members and/or schedulers.
  • Coordinate multiple production schedules to support shipping metrics and customer commitments. This may include multiple production plants.
  • Collaborate with materials team to identify the need and set up new parts and materials.
  • Identify the need to subtract, expand, and re-organize product/material groupings.

    What you should have:

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience required.

  • Mastery in Excel required.
  • Prior ERP experience required.
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.
  • 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field of study preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.

  • 10 to 25% travel will be required for this role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Occasional mobility required to attend in-person meetings and complete various office tasks. Work may be performed in company’s setting, home, or hybrid.
