Description

Metals USA, a Steel Service Center, is currently seeking a Production Scheduler for their Northbrook, IL facility. This position is responsible for the efficient and timely allocation and creation of production jobs through their Stelplan Database. Duties include but are not limited to: * Allocates material to production jobs in accordance with ISO; * Monitors Kan Ban stocking programs and replenishes stock as required; * Backup to the Inventory Clerk; * Any other duties assigned by Management. Qualifications * High School or GED Equivalent; * Good communication skills both oral and written; * Basic typing skills; * Ability to read and write English Language; * Ability to lift weights of at least 25 lbs from at least 6 ft heights; * Ability to understand and use Safety Rules and Procedures; * Must exercise a reasonable degree of judgment and possess the ability to recognize appropriate company policies that apply in each situation and follow them.
