This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and adjusting production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of products while balancing customer demand, material availability, and production capacity. The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in optimizing workflow across multiple work cells by coordinating closely with operations, procurement, and quality teams. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Scheduling & Planning Create and maintain detailed production schedules by work cell based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory availability. Adjust schedules proactively to accommodate changes in demand, material availability, or equipment downtime. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse to ensure raw materials and components are available for scheduled production runs. • Coordination & Communication Collaborate with production to align schedules with operational capabilities. Communicate schedule changes and priorities clearly to shop floor personnel and management. • Monitoring & Reporting Track progress against schedules and identify potential bottlenecks or delays. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production performance and schedule adherence. Recommend corrective actions to improve scheduling accuracy and efficiency. Continuous Improvement Utilize ERP/MRP systems to optimize scheduling and resource allocation. Identify opportunities to reduce lead times, improve throughput, and enhance on-time delivery performance. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by streamlining scheduling processes. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred). • 3+ years of experience in production scheduling within a discrete manufacturing environment. • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and production planning best practices.
