KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Looking for a strong man-manager, effective communicator, able to train, delegate and help
  • Food manufacturing experience would be beneficial
  • Must have worked in some form of high-speed manufacturing sector
  • Excellent prioritisation skills - able to think on own feet
  • Strong computer skills - inputting and interpreting data, reporting
  • Experience of conducting continuous improvement projects would be great
  • Qualified in Health & Safety, Food Hygiene & Safety, IOSH
  • Knowledge of ERP / SAP systems, allergens, quality auditing would be beneficial
  • Results driven, to manage and develop KPi’s
  • Previously have maintained high standards, processes & procedures

Responsibilities
  • Lead a shift production team of around 10 people
  • Responsible for smooth production of all high-speed food production lines & packaging machinery
  • Setting up the shift, handovers, workload allocation, manage labor
  • Monitoring compliance plans, health & safety, food safety & quality standards
  • Input data in a computer system (similar to SAP), to work out materials, ingredients and packaging requirements needed to run production
  • Support the production manager with labor costings, holidays, absence, agency workforce
  • Delivering and monitoring all KPi’s, production output management against plans
  • Continuous improvements and lean manufacturing projects
  • Accident investigations, near misses, BRC audits
