Summary: Manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations for assigned shift reporting  Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for aspects of the manufacturing operation on assigned shift; which includes meeting established safety, quality, line efficiency, yield, cost per case and customer service goals/standards * Management of hourly employees to include: hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, training and development, completion of performance evaluations, approval and maintenance of records of employee attendance/hours worked * Enforce safety and sanitation regulations * Work with cross functional teams to resolve technical problems * Review material transactions and completes production work orders * Enforces safety and housekeeping rules and policies * Manage/supervisor 10+ hourly employees * Coach, mentor and develop staff, including preparing and conducting employee performance appraisal * Maintain employee work schedules including timecard approval, work assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off * Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action   Required Education, Skills, and Experience: * High School Diploma or GED required * Associates Degree with 3-5 years supervisory experience in a production setting, preferred * Experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry and/or high speed packaged consumer goods manufacturing environment * Effective communication skills, verbal and written * Experience in department cost control and budget management * Excellent Leadership capability - ability to motivate and influence others * Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma experience   Working Conditions: * Constant exposure to extreme loud noises * Constant standing and moving by foot * Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment * Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts * Frequent lifting/carrying 50 pounds * Potential exposure to caustic chemicals DISCLAIMER: The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed and is not an inclusive summary of job duties and responsibilities.
