We are currently seeking a Production Shift Manager for the day shift at our bacon processing site. Shift pattern is 06:00 –18:00 (continental shift).
In this management role, you’ll be responsible for circa. 75 colleagues, leading them to achieve our KPIs.
We are looking for experience in leading and developing a team and someone who is able to implement performance improvement to get the best out of their team, which will help move the business forward.
We’re looking for someone to be part of the site management team and who will want to drive their team forward and be customer focused to achieve the best possible quality.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Experience of Food Production Management.
  • HACCP, food safety and hygiene.
  • You must be self-motivated and want to achieve continuous improvement.
  • You must be familiar with all of your controls (numbers, what yield is performing at).
  • Be used to a Fast Paced Chilled Food environment.
  • Must be computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft packages and have an understanding of ERP systems/shop floor data systems.
  • Ability to make objective decisions, taking all factors into account.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Be customer focused.
Responsibilities
  • Managing, coaching and engaging teams, and developing team members in all areas.
  • Interested in bringing new ideas to the business and making changes.
  • Promoting a great health and safety and food safety culture.
  • Managing the Order Fulfilment supervisory team, delivering the plan and KPIs.
  • Managing the Order Fulfilment conformance to budget.
  • Leading continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and overseeing all production control documents, ensuring relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Completing regular shift review meetings to communicate achievements and push/develop targets, taking ownership for your team.
  • Working with and alongside key departments, such as engineering and hygiene, to develop a key working relationship
