Job Title: Production Shift Manager
Job Location: GAP Ltd, Blackburn
Salary: £32,864 + 10% shift allowance
Shifts: 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00 alternate weeks

Due to continued growth, Gap Plastics wishes to add a Shift Manager to our Blackburn Manufacturing site.
As Production Shift Manager you will organize and lead a team of Production operatives to safely manufacture goods through component assembly, fitting, finishing, preparing for despatch to internal and external customers. The Production Shift Manager will also maintain and improve quality standards through process development whilst ensuring SOP and safe working practices are adhered to at all points of production.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain excellent operational and quality standards.
  • Ensure SOP’s are followed and SHE guidelines are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain good standards of housekeeping.
  • Organize production teams utilising individuals’ strengths to achieve and exceed production targets.
  • Ensure that production plans are maintained whenever possible and process flow is efficient.
  • Endeavor to achieve Department Productivity, Quality, and Efficiency targets.
  • Develop and Upskill staff to ensure Department Productivity and business needs are met.
  • Report and log all SHE issues and accidents and report to Management, whilst ensuring that all production sheets are completed correctly and submitted for shift performance.
  • Ensure that all relevant product information is communicated to Production Operatives and ensure that any changes or process amendments are being implemented.
  • All orders are loaded correctly and safely within the required time with the appropriate paperwork.
  • Daily and weekly shift production reports completed and e-mailed to the Production Manager.
  • Chair Disciplinary/Time and Attendance hearings as and when required
  • Performance reviews are undertaken with management for operator issues.
